Founder & CEO
Entrepreneur and marijuana industry pioneer in Colorado, Max has built one of the largest marijuana companies in the United States. Max is a founding member of the Marijuana Industry Group, Colorado’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to responsible policy and lobbying for the marijuana industry, and sits on the board of directors for the National Cannabis Industry Organization, a national marijuana lobbying and policy organization. Max has 15 years of experience in business after receiving his B.A. in Management from University of Montana.
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Davidson serves as the Chief Financial Officer of The Clinic. She is responsible for the financial and risk management operations of The Clinic, including its financial strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of its control systems. Ms. Davidson has extensive knowledge of technical accounting, financial forecasting, financial analysis, capital commitment planning, and business operations. She most recently served as a senior management accounting and finance consultant to a variety of public and private companies, including WD-40 Company, Union Bank, Encore Capital and Cricket Communications. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Audit Associate for KPMG LLP. Ms. Davidson is an active CPA who received a B.S. in Business/Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Chief Operating Officer
Ryan Cook oversees all aspects the day-to-day operations for The Clinic, including oversight of our retail stores, production facilities, and construction and development activities. At the request of regulatory officials, Ryan sat on Colorado’s Marijuana Testing Subcommittee where he helped draft the rules and regulations for concentrate testing and safety. Most recently, Ryan was invited to be a member of The State of Colorado’s Workgroup for Concentrate Production Rules and Regulations. His recommendations have helped to establish industry wide safety regulations, improvements and requirements for the commercial production of medical grade concentrate products.
Emily oversees the identification, implementation and management of new business opportunities and strategies across the United States. She is a founding investor and member of Women Grow, an organization dedicated to creating programs and a community for female business executives in the marijuana industry. Emily contributes diverse experience in management, business development, acquisitions, government relations, real estate entitlements, project management and financial market analysis to the Clinic. Emily holds a degree in Finance and Urban Land Development from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Prior to joining the company Emily worked at JP Morgan in New York as an analyst/underwriter and then with GH Palmer, a large multifamily developer in Los Angeles.
Grow Operations Manager
Josh oversees all operations of the Clinic’s Grow Department including product quality and quantity management for all locations. Josh has assisted in the implementation of The Clinic’s operations in Illinois and Nevada. He is an expert in hybridizing, back-crossing, and breeding numerous cannabis strains. Prior to joining the Clinic in 2010, Josh worked for Nurserymen’s Exchange/BloomRite, the largest grower of indoor flowers, fresh cut herbs and potted edibles in the country. Josh holds a degree in horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Kim brings laboratory operations and management experience to The Clinic. Prior to joining The Clinic Colorado, Kim was a Project Manager at ChromaDex, a publically traded natural products company well known for its industry standard phytochemical testing laboratories and catalogue. Kim managed essential quality assurance measures, improved processes and SOPs, and created and implemented certification plans. Kim brings laboratory operations and management experience to The Clinic. Kim received a B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
DTCP Operations Director
Matthew oversees all operations of the Clinic’s DTCP Department, a sector of the company that focuses on the processing and tracking of all drying, trimming, curing, packaging and shipping. His extensive experience and expertise in these areas stems from years of experience in the regulated marijuana industries in California and Colorado. Having worked with both indoor and outdoor crops Matthew has been able to adapt and apply his knowledge and skills to consistently assure the quality of medical and recreational cannabis in every climate, region and facility he has worked in. Additionally, he is responsible for programming, organizing and implementing The Clinic’s proprietary inventory and production tracking system. His attention to detail and commitment to compliance have proven to be valuable as he has been able to adapt and implement this system to the rules and regulations of other states The Clinic works in. Most recently, Matthew presented this proprietary system to the Illinois Department of Agriculture where it became the first approved tracking systems in the state, thus allowing The Clinic to be the first cultivation facility to legally start cultivating plants in Illinois. Matthew holds two B.S. degrees from the University of Colorado, Denver.
